Dante’s Paradiso

Paradiso is the third part of Dante’s Divine Comedy, his journey through Heaven guided by Beatrice. The Paradise is depicted as a series of concentric spheres surrounding the Earth, consisting of the Moon, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Fixed Stars, the Primum Mobile, and finally the Empyrean. This is a series of digital paintings (1m x 75cm) where I imagine a few of the landscapes of Dante’s Heaven with the characters in absence.
